Director
Director
Founder and Director Dianne Lewis is a qualified social worker with over 25 years experience as a social work practitioner an consultant with children and families. She has 15 years experience of child protection in Local Authority prior to becoming an independent worker. She has seventeen years experience of working directly in a therapeutic role with abused children and their families. She had a special interest in working with children and adolescence who abused others, and trained and was supervised by GMAP for over five years. Since becoming independent, she has continued to work therapeutically with both adults and children on wide range of issues, but has a particular interest in attachment and trauma. She also works as a Guardian ad Litem in family proceedings and continues to undertake assessments of children and families within the court process ad for UK local authorities. She has extensive experience in design and delivery of training and undertaking assessments, and therapeutic programmes utilising her expertise to inform analysis. Dianne is also a qualified adult teacher and trainer. She is a qualified Master Practitioner and trainer of NLP, and has qualifications in Time Line Therapy, Motivational life coaching, Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Stress management and is a qualified EMDR practitioner, (one of two methods approved by NICE for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Body work therapist & Motivational Life Coach. IIHHT;VIA; M.Dip,Cert. AH/NLP; Master Practitioner of NLP. Also trained in EFT; Advanced Hypnotherapy; Time Line Therapy; Sports Psychology, Stress Management and Life/Motivational Coaching as well as being a Ironman Triathlete! Diane has been a qualified holistic therapist working in private practice for a number of years specialising in Remedial and Sports Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. She is also a Reiki Master. Diane initially trained as a body work therapist and discovered NLP and hypnotherapy when looking for a way to help her clients deal with their emotional challenges often released through body work. Diane trained in these modalities to offer her clients a more inclusive and comprehensive service and has worked with Dianne Lewis since 2006 when they established Mind Matters together to provide mental and physical therapeutic services to children, adults and families, until its transformation into the Lewis Bateson Centre. Diane then worked for the children's centre, firstly at Epic and then with the family centre She has remained as an associate with the Lewis Bateson Centre, while working within her own business at Gym and Tonic. in her spare time Diane trains as a tri-athlete and in 2014 trained for and completed an Ironman Triathlon.
Audrey Craig - Associate
Audrey Craig - Associate
Audrey is a qualified social worker with over 24 years experience. In 1995 she obtained a Certificate in Child Protection Studies, and in 2004 obtained the Post-Qualifying Award in Social Work Part 1. In 2004 she diversified and became a Certified Practitioner of the Art and Science of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and in 2009: completed the Learning and Assessment in Professional Education, University of Chester enabling her to become a SQV assessor and practice teacher. Audrey has held posts as a residential manager of a childrens home and then a field social worker in the referral and assessment and care management teams. In 2011 she took up a post as the family centre manager for the Children’s centre and joined the Lewis Bateson Centre following her retirement, where she has demonstrated her invaluable skills as a Guardian ad Litem and consultant social worker.

Jan Watson - Associate
Jan Watson is an Accredited Play Therapist (PTUK). She is passionate about helping children to lead happy and fulfilled lives. Children will often play through their problems and difficulties far more easily than they would talk about them. Jan uses play which is a child’s natural form of communication, to help them to understand and play through their worries and difficulties, so they can find a way to heal themselves. She works within an ethical framework set by the professional body for Play Therapists, PTUK. Jan is listed as an Accredited Play Therapist on the Play Therapy UK Register, which is approved by the UK Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA).
